Eagle Bar & Steakhouse in Deadwood

This place is quite amazing, well to some extent it is...the music is absolutely phenomenal and the people are very eclectic! Now the cons, the staff for the most part were not rude or anything but were extremely arrogant...When I was about to leave, I was trying to thank the staff for the great music, but in a very condescending and quite frankly arrogant tone of voice, the staff simply stated "ok, thanks". How very unwelcoming to folks who have come here for the first time....

As a taxi driver I love this place although I've never been inside. It produces passengers. Never a long wait for $

Fun place! Decor is great! People are really friendly! Action goes on upstairs in the corner of the bar however the bouncer comes over occasionally to stop it. Pretty annoying as it’s not the norm you’d expect from other Eagle bars around the world.

Fun bar with a lot of age varieties, younger and older, crowded. Definitely a leather type of bar. We went on Friday night. Enjoyed the 3rd level outdoor area.

Great place, but the staff are very rude. They think god created them.

Love the larger than life drinks and leather shop. The guys are aways hot! Love that place.

Be aware there is a checkup at the entrance, they dont allow backpacks, 3 dollars charge. They had an special on drinks on Wednesdays but the rooftop wasnt open. Bartenders were a little dry.

Nice place but beware of MIKE the bartender. On Tuesday’s he’s the only bartender and i literally experienced a 15 minute LOUD rant to his friends about only getting a $2 tip for pouring a draft beer. Then proceeds to tell the guy if he was looking to be cheap, he could head somewhere else.

Was ejected out of the club for being bearded, Hispanic, and smart. Apparently my white friendships was being seeked between 7-9PM for wrong doing and because I entered the establishment with “him” I was ejected in the most embarrassing, hulimating and hostile way. I’ve been coming here since 17, years old, now this place has become a racist and predatory dump. Avoid this place by all costs

Went with some friends on a Pup Night a few months back. Cool gathering/demos. Had a great time. Just be prepared to make a lot of eye contact at the urinal lol.

Still retains all the sleazy ambiance of the past 20 years with a new generation.

the best eagle in the states. 3 levels, friendly bartenders, beautiful charismatic men. it’s not overly sexual and you can feel comfortable hanging there with a friend.

A great bar with themed nights. Beware of sexy antics which can happen anytime in any corner. Don't expect to head to eagle and keep your hands to yourself. It's a fun night with different drink promos on different nights. In the summer it also has a great roof deck to enjoy on their sunday beer blast afternoon.

Witnessed a Latin man get ejected because his friend was drunk and the video is going viral on Facebook about it. This place hires discrimatlry security guards!!!!!!

Great bartenders (of course) loved the location , so close to Westside park/ Hudson River.Really enjoyed it on Sunday/ we went on sat night and it was way full.If you like it leather then this is the place to explore, no attitude and lots to see(and drink)

I was here and event with friends. The bar can tend to be very crowded, but very fun. Excellent music, dancing and beautiful People. It's always great to see a community support and establishment like this. Bears, Daddies, Muscles abound. The staff was on point and drinks well-made. Definitely worth a visit if you're into this sort of thing.

Casual, unpretentious bar. The staff is always friendly and great guys working the coat check, which is much faster than other bars in NYC. And yes, pay the two dollars for coat check because you'll look foolish wearing a parka in here. Started charging ten dollar cover on Saturdays which is fine. Go during the week if you don't want to pay for a cover. Check online for the theme nights, espexially if you are visiting or unfamiliar with the bar. The rooftop area is great especially on Sundays with nice weather. The music is always on point and one of the best for the bars in NYC.

Great bar for the leather, daddy, bear, otter, fetish crowd. Some nights are more fun than others. An institution in NYC that I hope never closes down!

New York City's only leather bar, so do you have a choice? It's pretty good. Two floors and a roof deck, a pool table, discreet lighting. I'd like better music -- leather bars are usually on the cutting edge, rather than trailing behind -- and the porn monitors are obnoxious, like the dudes there won't provide enough interest. But you have no alternative, and after a couple beers you'll have fun.

Gotta love The Eagle. None like it. That being said, not for the faint of heart (in a good way)! Go before 10pm to avoid a cover. Cool theme nights and plenty to look at :)

Dark NYC bar. Good looking guys. No dancers. Drinks were good and not expensive. Music was good and loud.

Wednesday night is Jock strap night and just absolutely great! It presents a challenge and where to place your wallet and/or phone, but you can get creative and find alternative. My friends brought me here while visiting and it was just the right amount of rachet/sketchy that I was hoping for.

Just my favorite place to go in NYC

Nice bar, good drinks, staff is nice enough. However, why would you throw a jockstrap party and then have security wandering around with a flashlight policing people back into whatever Victorian chaste norms you expect? Underwear parties at gay bars with a "back room" of some sort are a staple of NYC queer nightlife, to try and throw one of these events without such accommodations is akin to handing someone a slice of pie and telling them they can't actually eat it.If I wanted to stand around in my underwear drinking and listening to music, I could save myself a lot of money and do it at home without this ridiculous idea of, "Come to our bar and almost have a good time but actually were just going to blue ball all of our patrons."I would unfortunately have to say I will not be returning, in lieu of other venues that actually recognise what they're getting themselves into when tossing a large group of scantily clad queer males into a darkened space and adding alcohol.

So gay place, I like the experience.. dark room, spicy things, do what your want.. very open minded people

This is a great find. Fit men, three floors, good music. Also you can vape or smoke on the roof terrace. About as sleazy as you will get in NYC ie no touching! But much better than all the other naff bars I tried

This is a fun place to visit. The staff arr good to chat with and it's always something going down positive way of course. Good place to meet new people, have fun, dance and just have a good drink of Malibu vodka pineapple

Great bar... good drinks... great music... fun environment. Had several guys buy me a few drinks. The Roof-top was AWESOME... it's one of those places you want to be... so bottom line: If you have a fondness for something a little rough and raw, then this is the place for you... who knows who you might run into....

Club claims to be a "gay bar". Gay is a broad term, this would include lesbians, gay men and many other ways people identify. We were extremely disappointed in the way we were treated for being women. We weren't aloud to go where the men were nor were we served drinks. I'm not one to call out people being sexist but this astonished me. Obviously we will never be back and I hope this will detour others because of the hate we received. #gaymenONLY

Came here for the first time last night during my trip to New York. Staff at cloakroom patiently answered all my questions, with only a slight tone of condescension, but overall very friendly and helpful. Despite the crowds, very short queues at the bar. Good atmosphere, I had a great time and I went again today. Reminds me a bit of Berlin. Loved the rooftop terrace.
